Touching people’s hearts and ensuring they are comfortable is my agenda. That’s not all, engaging youths in community projects is also my priority for their job security.
WATER AT LAST
Let us get started with Kabuta-Githuuri tank, the Mega blue community tank at Kiamuti hills was set to relieve more than 30,000 residents in Kabuta, Githuuri and Kiangatia. These people had been suffering to get enough water both for home use and their livestock. Running to the hospital every now and then was the result of using flooded unclean water in checking the scarcity of water to the community from river Mathioya and Sagana.
A local resident Peter Manyeki Mboco, thanked Wamatangi for quenching their thirst terming it heroic since they have been left out for long. “Our mothers have been walking for more than 5 kilometers daily in search of water, but now than we have piped water,it’s a relieve for them” He added.
Agnes Karoki recalls how She lost her young boy who fell down in the process of fetching water from a river
“If only we had this tank,I couldn’t have lost my boy.Storage of water has been a challenge to most of us. Surely the construction of the tank will go a long way in checking the scarcity of water to the community. Well done Mheshimiwa.” She Says
Well it’s good to give credit where it’s due, that’s why we acknowledge Murang’a Water and Sanitation Company{ MUWASCO}, for ensuring the project is successful by piping the community tanks to roads that lead to the residents home.
