The three angels house

“My name is John Mwangi, and am the first born in my family, we live by ourselves since our parents got into disputes sometimes back and separated. My mother left and our dad has recently passed on.”

Shelter being one of the basic needs is so essential for physical, psychological and emotional wellbeing of a person. When a child lacks this, the hope for a better tomorrow dies and chances for survival diminishes. This was the condition of the Three Angels; John Mwangi, Ann Njoki both in class five and Samuel in class four. We named them as “The Three Angels” because we understood that this is an opportunity to offer a helping hand.

These children lived in a very poor condition. During the rainy season, they had to prepare themselves for cold nights in their house full of water droplets from the falling. This is the struggle they have been going through.

“My name is John Mwangi, and am the first born in my family, we live by ourselves since our parents got into disputes sometimes back and separated. My mother left and our dad has recently passed on.”

As he said, the parents departed and they were left in suffering condition after their dad later passed on. The children were taking care of themselves doing all house chores and knowing what to eat daily. It is the situation that led us think of offering a helping hand to the three angels, who were left with no one to take care of them in such a poor condition. The house was in a deplorable condition and the children had suffered for a while.

It was during this time that in collaboration with other well-wishers we offered to support the children and built them a modern shelter. This is what brings joy to us- making the children smile again in their life. We promised to ensure that the children do not starve again and that they would continue with their education regardless of their situation. Watch The Three Angles
