Anyone who has best wishes for our nation and world at large must starts at the root; the root is our children. The agents of change in our society are our pupils, any agent must be energized to come up with the best outcome as desired. For the past five years, we have dedicated our energy to serve both primary and secondary school candidates during their KCPE and KCSE respectively by providing meals for lunch during the exam period.

 

This drove us and we decided to come up with this program – ‘the feeding program’. Every year during national exams, we provide rice to all 172 public primary and secondary schools in Kiharu. This minimizes time wastage for students to go looking for meals as they do exam, also being served with hot and quality meal is always good for health. Over the years we have witnessed a mean grade increase in many schools as a result of collaboration with parents and teachers.

Roughly 7000 students benefits from this program yearly as none of them feels the pangs of hunger in the exam rooms. Eng. Karanja Mburu Wamatangi commitment to save our future is on another level.
