Our desire and commitment to bring hope to our children is unmatched. Late last year we launched the project of giving curriculum based bibles to our Primary Schools and Junior Secondary Schools- Good News Bible and Revised Standard Version respectively. The motive of this initiative is to assist the leaners in Christian Religious Education studies, spiritual nourishment, and moral guidance.
We are delighted for our face two of this project where we distributed 100 bibles to 10 schools in Kiharu constituency, Muranga County. Among the schools are Ndikwe primary and Junior secondary school, Muchungucha primary and Junior secondary school, Kiumu primary and Junior secondary school. This is the beginning of our course on issuing bibles to all public schools in Muranga County.
We were moved by the comments from the majority of the students noting that they have been struggling to get this essential book as a reference for their studies. They promised that the religious education performance will rise. Teachers, on the other hand, expressed their joy because they will have an easy time teaching religious education and they emphasized that the book will assist in enhancing the discipline of the children in school and at home. It is through teachers we learned many schools had only 1 bible and a few had at most 3 bibles serving all the students in the entire school.
It was sad to note that due to economic challenges, parents have not been able to buy bibles for their children. We hence look forward to fulfilling our promise and through the help of God, we will issue 100 bibles to each Primary School and Junior secondary schools in Murang’a County in a period of one and a half years. We continue to urge all well-wishers to join us in this course and save our generation. Prov 22: 2 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
